The Container Solar Floodlight is a self-contained, wire-free lighting and security solution for shipping containers on sites without mains power. This powerful LED floodlight charges by day through its built-in solar panel and switches on automatically at night via a PIR motion sensor, lighting your approach so you can open doors and padlocks quickly and safely after dark.

Light and Security in One

Beyond convenience, the floodlight is an effective security deterrent. Because it draws power from an integrated solar panel and battery, there is no ground-level wiring for an intruder to disconnect or switch off, so the light stays operational and independent. The PIR sensor triggers the lamp remotely when it detects movement, which is especially useful when your hands are full carrying tools or stock to the container.

Minutes to Install

The floodlight comes on a powder-coated lamppost designed to clamp into any of the container’s four top corner castings, so fixing the post takes only minutes with no drilling into the container body. Once the post is set, the light is fitted, angled to suit your approach, and locked in place with the supplied bolts. If you want it to blend in, the post can be over-painted in a colour of your choice.

When planning your installation, choose the corner casting that best covers your door and approach, and position the lamp to throw light where you actually work. Being solar-powered, it performs best where the panel gets good daylight, so avoid heavily shaded placements. No electrician or mains connection is required.
